The scope of services of a modern financial accounting software should also include the transmission
of the UVA (advance VAT return) to the tax authorities. Microsoft has met this requirement with its ERP
system
Microsoft Dynamics NAV. Up to now, the transmission ran via the open ELSTER interface and
was sufficiently logged within Microsoft Dynamics NAV.
The Bavarian State Tax Office has decided to close the open ELSTER interface as of mid-January 2019:
"For strategic and economic reasons, we had to decide to no longer allow the acceptance
of the data types advance VAT return, applications for permanent extension /
special advance payments and wage tax return, which are transmitted via the open interface,
after a transition period.
The data will be marked as deprecated in the next delivery of the interface description.
Submission of advance VAT returns and wage tax returns will then only be possible
until the beginning of January 2019.
Then, in mid-January 2019, the open interface for the two types of data will be closed.
From this point on, a transfer will only be possible via ERiC.
Affected manufacturers are asked to incorporate the ERiC."

Since the ERiC (ELSTER Rich Client) is a closed client (unmananged/closed source interface),
Microsoft has decided not to connect it.
Excerpt from a statement:
"That's why the DLLs for the ERiC client can't go through our security processes
and can't be included in our products."

RSBT has developed the module "ERiC-NAV-Connector", which enables a bidirectional
communication of Microsoft Dynamics NAV with ERiC. With this module, the transfer
of the advance VAT return can be carried out as usual from Microsoft Dynamics NAV.
During implementation, the focus was on user convenience, stability and information content.
As of ERiC-NAV-Connector v.1.05, the recapitulative statement (ZM) can also be transferred.
The cloud version of fastFINANCE ("ERiC-NAV Connector") will be based on pay-per-transmission.
It will be charged per transmission. For more information regarding the current prices,
